Education and work experience

- what are you going to do when you grow up?

This is a short presentation of what I've been up to since graduating high-school [sv: gymnasiet] at Fässbergsgymnasiet in Mölndal in 1998. Everything below is presented in chronological order.



Chalmers University of Technology

1999-2004, 2006

Chalmers University of Technology

During my four years at Chalmers I have taken a lot of obligatory courses in mathematics and physics but focused on courses in Computer Science, Digital Construction and Industrial Economy (including marketing and organizational theory). I'm interested in technology and digital products as well as in the management and organizational aspects of these fields. The last year I also attended courses in Computer Graphics and Advanced Computer Graphics which I enjoyed.

I got an Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in 2006. [sv: Civilingenjör i Elektroteknik].

Business Technology

2004-2006, IT University in Göteborg

IT University of Gothenburg

I've spent the last year at the IT University here in Göteborg, attending a programme called Business Technology. The IT University is a collaboration between Chalmers University of Technology and Göteborg University.

I felt that I'd like to do something different from my years at Chalmers and decided that the Business Technology master might be something that will be beneficial for my career. I graduated in 2006 with a Master of Science in Informatics, specializing in Business Technology.

Sandin Design

2002 -

Spring 2002 I decided to start a business. Because I'd been asked to work with some webdesign projects for a couple of local firms I decided that it would be easier for everyone if I had a company to work from.

Since then I've learned quite a lot, especially how to deal with a lot of different kinds of people and how to deal with all problems that occur in an ordinary business. I have also learnt the basics of having my own business and the basics of book keeping and accounting. These experiences will always be with me, and I think it will help me out tremendously in the future since I always have something to relay to.

I think that most of my clients have been happy with the cooperation since they tend to come back and tend to promote my business to their friends, and in my opinion that is the best compliment you get.

English (A-level)

2002, Göteborg University

During the autumn of 2002 I took a 20 week course in English at Göteborg University. Since I had decided to take a short break from my studies at Chalmers it seemed to be a good complement to my education. I reasoned that better knowledge of the English language is always essential, no matter what I'll do in the future.



Teaching Webdesign

1998-1999, Elof Lindälvs gymnasium

The year after I graduated high-school [sv: gymnasiet] I worked for several months as a teacher in Webdesign at Elof Lindälvs gymnasium in Kungsbacka. It was during those months (and thanks to the first high speed Internet connection I came across daily) that my interest in webdesign really started to ignite.
